The Elven Kingâs Blade Yaoi Novel Chapter 48
CHAPTER FORTY-EIGHT: FAIRY TALE
âThere will be no bowing! And Iâm not a king! Thereâs only one king in this room and thatâs Aethaden! So stop whatever you are⦠you are plotting!
Ciaran looked sternly at the Black Captain, and in the armor his blade it seemedâ¦
A Riven king of old.
But Aethaden snapped out of that thought. That
It was his Ciaran. This was his Blade. The one that was made for him and he was made for Ciaran. He felt this was true.
It must be true!
Ciaran came out from behind Captain Black
who bowed his head, although he seemed unrepentant for his previous words about bowing down. His blade immediately came at him, reaching out and holding Aethadenâs shoulders. He stiffened slightly when those armored hands touched him.
Not out of fear of Ciaran, but because of the magic that spilled from the armor.
Without even trying to decipher the many spells that were woven into his own fabric, Aethaden could be said to have multiple shields against magic and martial. There were also runes to increase the abilities of Ciaran. He was certain, too, that there were specific powerful spells that could simply be released from the armor itself without using any energy from the user which then slowly replenishes with power naturally. A Armor was made for war.
And then there was its almost ethereal beauty. he guessed could enchant, as he did now, or make his enemies fearful. The whirlpools mesmerizing waves of power that seemed to rise from the depths of the armor to just diving in again had Aethaden staring for long moments before looking away and back to Ciaranâs face.
Ciaranâs expression was so worried. So worried. Not about you same. But about Aethaden.
âIâm sorry I talked to you like that and⦠and everything!
I donât know what came over me! Iâm really, really sorry,â Ciaran repeated.
âItâs okay,â Aethaden assured him before wrapping her arms around him.
of that now armored body. He could feel the magic wave against him. But then he felt Ciaranâs energy behind him and relaxed. âI am worried like you. How are you?â
âIâm good?â Ciaran made it sound like a question though and let out a laughter. âI really feel amazing. Full of energy and no⦠no more strange.
Aethaden grabbed him, her right hand fisted in the silken material of the cloak.
He didnât know if he was relieved or not by what Ciaran was saying. They moved away from one another. The others in the room were not at all relieved.
Ares looked at Ciaran with a mixture of horror, dread and fascination. Aethaden stood between Ciaran and the Elven Lord.
âAres, you need to start explaining yourself right now,â
Aethadenâs voice was low and controlled, but Ares acted as if he had been taken a slap to the face, wincing slightly.
âLetâs start with where you got that armor first.â
âItâs been in my⦠my family for some time,â Ares replied stiffly.
His eyes flickered around the floor to the guards. He clearly didnât want talk about it in front of them.
